Frequently asked questions

Signing in

DancingPartners uses phone-number sign-in. Enter your number, then type the 6-digit code we text you. If you don’t receive a code, check your signal, confirm the number and country code are correct, and try again after a minute. Standard carrier rates may apply.

Verifying you’re a real person

To keep the community free of bots and fake profiles, new members complete a quick liveness check using the front camera — just follow the on-screen prompts (turn your head, blink, smile). Your verification selfie is processed on your device and is never stored on our servers.

Editing your profile and photos

Open the Profile tab to update your name, bio, dance styles, and photos. Photos are automatically checked to ensure they meet our community guidelines.

Matches and messages

When you and another dancer both like each other, you match and can start chatting. Your messages are private to the two of you.

Reporting and blocking

Your safety comes first. From a matched user’s profile or your chat with them, open the menu (the three-dots icon) to:

  • Report the user — choose a reason and optionally add details. Our team reviews every report within 24 hours and removes content or removes users who violate our rules.
  • Block the user — they immediately disappear from your feed, your match ends, and they can no longer contact you. Manage blocked users anytime from Profile → Blocked users.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account anytime from Profile → Settings → Delete account. See our account deletion page for details on what happens to your data.
