Account Deletion

Effective date: April 27, 2026 Last updated: July 26, 2026

Overview

You have the right to delete your DancingPartners account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains how to delete your account, what data is removed, and how long certain records are retained for legitimate operational and legal purposes.

Public URL for this page: dancingpartners.app/delete-account

1. In-App Deletion Flow

The fastest way to delete your account is directly inside the App:

  1. Open DancingPartners.
  2. Tap your Profile tab (bottom navigation).
  3. Tap Settings (gear icon, top-right corner).
  4. Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
  5. Read the confirmation dialog and tap Delete to proceed.
  6. A second confirmation dialog will appear — tap Permanently delete to finalize.

Deletion begins immediately and completes within 7 business days; we email you a confirmation when it is complete.

When deletion completes, we send a confirmation email to the email address associated with your account so you have a record that it was carried out. If you ever receive this email but did not request the deletion, contact us right away at developers@tenikopr.com.

2. Web or Email Alternative

If you no longer have access to the App, you can request deletion by email:

Send an email to: developers@tenikopr.com Subject line (required): Account deletion request

Your message must include:

  • The email address registered to your account.
  • A brief statement requesting permanent account deletion.

We will process your request within 7 business days of receipt and send a confirmation email when deletion is complete.

3. What Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the following data:

Data Deleted
Profile (name, bio, dance preferences, skill level) Yes
Profile photo and album photos Yes
Swipes (likes and passes) Yes
Matches Yes
Chat messages Yes
Location history Yes
Push notification token Yes
Face-verification result Yes

4. What Is Retained Temporarily

Certain records are retained for a limited period after deletion for legitimate legal and operational reasons:

Data Retention period Reason
Encrypted database backups Up to 30 days Disaster recovery — destroyed automatically on schedule after expiry
Administrative audit logs (account creation / deletion events, moderation actions) Up to 90 days Compliance, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution
Aggregated, anonymized analytics Indefinitely (not identifiable) Service improvement
Crash and diagnostic logs (Firebase Crashlytics) 90 days (per Google’s standard policy) Crash diagnostics

Backup destruction is automatic. If 30 days have passed since your deletion request and you would like written confirmation that your data has been purged from backups, email developers@tenikopr.com.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

The current version of DancingPartners has no paid subscriptions or in-app purchases, so there is nothing to cancel before deleting your account. If paid subscriptions become available in a future version, deleting your account will not automatically cancel them — you would need to cancel through the Apple App Store or Google Play separately, and platform refund policies would apply.

6. Response Commitments

Request type Maximum response time
In-app deletion 7 business days
Email deletion request 7 business days from receipt
Confirmation email sent Within 1 business day of completion

If you have not received a confirmation within 10 business days of your request, email developers@tenikopr.com with the subject “Account deletion follow-up.”
